FKM NEWS – Yesterday (4/9), the Editorial Boards of scientific journals of Faculty of Public Health UNAIR held a workshop on managing scientific journals. This event was aimed to build cooperation with other scientific journals on health sector in East Java. 19 scientific journals from diverse universities were found joining the event.
Nuzulul Kusuma Putri, S.KM., M.Kes, the coordinator of the event, explained that it aimed to increase the input of articles in every journal, including the number of its citation. In the end, it was hoped that through the event, every journal can build connections to expanse the publication.
“This event is intended to strengthen the collaboration of our journal management,” said her.
As known, Faculty of Public Health UNAIR owns 9 scientific journals from each department and faculty. Three of those have ranked SINTA 3, namely JBE, JAKI, and MGI, while the other journals (IJPH, PROMKES, JKL, Amerta Nutrition, and JBK) are in progress for accreditation. This year, JBE is planned to upgrade the journal status that hopefully, will lead to SINTA 1 or 2 ranking.
Great hope is on the shoulders of the Editor-In-Chief of the journals in Faculty of Public Health, UNAIR, to spread the scientific publications as well as to enrich the knowledge. Fighting! (IAR)
