FKM Airlangga University Received Visit from Faculty of Health Sciences Muhamadiyah University Pare-Pare

As a member of the coaching faculty in the Public Health study program for eastern Indonesia, the Faculty of Public Health Airlangga University is required to be a role model in the education process and other Tridarma activities.
Located in the Hall of Sabdoadi Faculty of Public Health Airlangga University, FKM UNAIR received guests from the Faculty of Health Sciences Muhamadiyah Pare-Pare University (FIK Umpar) on Friday (19/05). The visit was welcomed by the Dean of FKM UNAIR with Vice Dean III and Head of Department of Health Nutrition. Dean of FIK Umpar was accompanied by some of his staff and 34 students of Public Health Sciences study program with Nutrition Sciences concentration.
The Dean of FIK Umpar communicated the purpose of the visit was to learn and share about the curriculum and offer some cooperation. “We are hoping to be given the opportunity to share the infrastructure and facilities here to support the research activities of our lecturers and students,” he stated.
In addition, he also expressed his wish to contribute in scientific publications. He would like the lecturers and students of FIK Umpar to submit scientific articles to be published in FKM UNAIR journals.
Prof. Tri Martiana, dr., MS., the dean of FKM UNAIR, warmly welcomed the stated purpose of the visit. “We really appreciate the visit from FIK UMPAR. We are open to cooperation, information sharing, research, community service, and scientific publications, “the Dean of FKM responded.
Head of Department of Nutrition FKM Airlangga University, Dr. Annis Catur Adi, S.TP., M.Kes., who was also present during the visit, delivered a brief presentation about the Department of Nutrition that covers Nutrition specialization in the undergraduate program of Public Health.  He also presented nutritional problems challenges and educational curriculum as well as the output target of Public Health Bachelors specializing in nutrition.
The visit was closed with exchanging souvenirs and taking picture together as documentation. (DB)
